The Tanager

The Tanager aka Redbird is a 15.1H, 2020 Model gelding that will check all the boxes on your Dream Horse list! He is safe, responsive, healthy, sound and broke. He is registered AQHA, APHA, NRHA, NRBC. He’s friendly and personable, but not pushy. Redbird loves people and loves his job. No matter what situation we’ve had him in, he always takes care of his rider and is a confident, easy-going mount. I truly love this horse and being around him. I can swing a rope off of one minute, then take my toddler for a ride the next, without a question in my mind about whether it’ll be safe or not. He’s handy; you lay the rein and he gets there without dragging his feet. You pull and he stops and backs, no matter the speed he’s already going. You can open & close gates with ease. His feet are always on time and he’s mentally prepared for the next thing. Redbird has a foundation in reining and is trained in all the Ranch Riding maneuvers! Check out the all the transitions showcased in his video. He’s sired by the great reining stallion, ELECTRIC SNOW (LTE $100,337), so he’s built to be exceptional! He is the epitome of the gorgeous, American Quarter Horse that we all idolize! Anyone can ride him! He’s got great, collected gaits that are comfortable and easy. Kids or adults, if you can sit in a saddle, you can handle this horse. Redbird will make you feel like a pro! When it comes to looks, he’s pretty much the Tom Selleck of horses; handsome, wise, regal, captivates any room he walks into without having to say a word. Fits into cowboy movies perfectly. Has a mile long resume. Has a longer list of things he can do than things he can’t. Dress him up or down, ranch or show, he just fits in anywhere. SMOOTH and he’s got allll the moves. Redbird is showy without even trying. He turns work in to play. He rides like a champion whether it’s Monday or Friday. He completely changes anyone’s opinion on a “plain red horse”, because he’s anything but!
