Everyone meet Joey! This is an adorable 5 year old quarter pony is stout made gelding and sticks right at 14 hands tall and just about as wide. With his stout build and short legs he is the perfect horse to carry an adult who has difficulty mounting as he is low to the ground. He is an absolute gem to be around with an in your pocket, puppy dog personality. This guy will come running to fence to greet you and follow you around anywhere you go. Loves to be groomed, petted and loved on by anyone standing in the barn. There was multiple children running around the barn one day and Joey was standing tied in the aisle way. All four children were hanging all over/underneath him and he just stood there and soaked in all the attention. On top of his exceptional personality, Joey is super quiet, gentle and easy to ride. Wonderful smooth W/T/C. Easy leads and a floating trot. Push button leads changes. More whoa than go and a push type ride. Jumps a full course of 2’3″ fences. Very willing and honest to base of the jumps. Stays straight in the lines and easy to adjust distances. Joey has been trail rode throughout the Mark Twain National Forest where he takes any obstacle you throw at him with ease. Has been used around cattle and checking fences. Will ride out by oneself or in a group. No spook, bolt, or buck. Stays the same with time off. Would make an excellent kids hunter/pony club or all around pony. No lameness issues and 100% sound. Located in Mountain Grove, MO. Come with UTD basic PPE, Coggins, Health Papers, Vaccinations, Dentist, Farrier. We HIGHLY encourage customers to come try our horses in person before buying to ensure an excellent fit between horse and rider. Anyone who comes to try our horses in person will have the option to receive a 1 hour riding lesson with Beaver Ranch to better learn how to communicate with your new horse.
