Moose

Moose is a 15.3-hand, 13 yr old, dun gelding who’s as steady and dependable as they come. This handsome guy is more whoa than go and truly safe for anyone to ride. Used on the ranch his whole life, Moose has been a trusted lead horse in a pack string through the rugged High Sierras. Out on the trail, he’s one of the best you’ll find; he’ll mosey along with his head low, going anywhere you point him. No spook, no rush, and gentle as the day is long. Whether he’s out alone or in a group, Moose stays calm, confident, and sure-footed every step of the way. In the arena, he’s just as enjoyable. He rides soft and collected, with low-headed circles, a nice whoa, and gaits as smooth as a rocking horse. He’ll happily adjust his pace to suit his rider, slow and steady or a little more forward when asked. If there’s a job needing done, you can do it on Moose’s back! Moose has also been ridden English and truly is a jack of all trades! Friendly, people-loving, and easy to catch, Moose can sit for a while and come back to work like he never missed a day.
