SAFE • SEASONED • ALL-AROUND
10 Years Old • 14.3 Hands • Dunskin Mare
Addie is a solid, conformationally correct dunskin mare and the kind of all-around horse that defines what an exceptional partner really is. From the moment you swing a leg over Addie, you can feel how honest and steady-minded she is. Addie is a solid ranch horse, has been started in the roping pen, and is one of the safest, most steady-minded trail horses you will ever own. Addie offers a level of seasoning and all-around ability that you simply don’t run across every day.
Addie is steady, uncomplicated, and easy to depend on. Whether ridden every day or left off for a period of time, Addie comes out exactly the same—quiet, willing, and ready to go to work. Addie has no buck, no spook, and no silliness. Her kind, cooperative, level-headed demeanor makes Addie suitable for riders of many ages and experience levels. She has been ridden by kids of all ages, and first-time riders can enjoy Addie just as much as seasoned riders. She is truly the definition of a horse you can count on.
On the trail, Addie is as solid as they come. Addie is sure-footed and confident in all types of terrain, willingly crossing water, brush, logs, and rocky or uneven ground without hesitation. Wildlife, traffic, and new environments do not bother Addie. She is the kind of trail horse you can relax on and enjoy, knowing Addie will take care of you every step of the way.
Addie has been exposed to a variety of obstacles and handles them with ease, including flags, tarps, bridges, pool noodles, balls, and dragging objects. She is comfortable around dogs, ranch equipment, and general ranch commotion.
Addie is easy to handle on the ground. She hauls quietly, ties, clips, bathes, saddles and bridles easily, and stands great for the farrier. She is respectful, mannerly, and a pleasure to be around.
In the arena, Addie is broke, soft, and correct. Addie carries a low head, stays collected, and lopes smooth, beautiful circles. She has a big, honest stop, turns smoothly, and is light in the bridle. Addie guides easily on a loose rein and neck reins nicely.
In the roping pen, Addie has been started and is coming along nicely. Addie stands quiet in the box, leaves clean, and rates cattle. She stops hard and is shaping up to be a nice heel horse or breakaway prospect. Addie is gentle and forgiving, making her a great candidate for someone wanting a safe rope horse to continue seasoning.
Addie is the kind that becomes a barn favorite quickly and one that is hard to replace. Addie’s combination of safety, usability, and kind disposition does not come around often.
Do-it-all mare. Trail, ranch, obstacles, roping — Addie does it.
Come meet Addie and see for yourself why she is so special.
