He’s content to meet you where you are. Want to spend the afternoon wandering miles of trail? He’s all in. Need to check fences, gather cattle, or move cattle from pasture to pasture? Saddle him up. Feel like spending time in the arena? He’ll happily go there too. In the arena, he rides on a loose rein, picks up both leads, has a comfortable jog and lope, stops, backs, and is soft through every transition. He’s the same honest horse whether you ride him every day or pull him out to enjoy a weekend. Chief is easy to catch, clip, bathe, tack up, load, haul, tie, and stands quietly for the farrier.
