Slick Rick All Around Family Horse APHA registered name – Invite Slick Rick 15 hands & weighs around 1150 lbs We’ve had the pleasure of owning this horse since he was 2, he’s now 8 and has seen it all! He will be the first one to meet you at the gate, and he’s a pleasure to be around. Suitable for a beginner who knows the basics, to an advanced rider. You can catch him anywhere throw a saddle on him and go, no funny business. He will be great for trail riding, club shows, or a day’s work. If you want a horse that has color and is flashy, but can also get the job done, Slick Rick is the one for you! He will walk, trot and lope at your choice of speed. He has a great handle. He will spin both directions, side pass, flying lead changes and has a great stop. Works great off leg pressure, and is a true one hand neck rein. He will ride in about any bridle, even a piece of hay string, or no bridle at all. Point him where you want him to go! You can also use him to help start your young horses. He’s ponied and lunged plenty of colts. The young ones never phase him. He stays level headed and does his job. He has pushed cattle, sorted, roped a few head, roped the sled, and worked the cutting flag. He is also a great trail mount crosses all the creeks ditches and go up and down all the hills. Tell him where to go and he will get you there. He loads and trailers well. He’s up to date on everything. He will come with an old scar from when he was a 2 year old on his front hoof. The vet has examined him and certified that the scar is only cosmetic. Can provide a copy of letter upon request. Feel free to call, text, FaceTime, or set up a time to come see him yourself.
