AVATAR

AVATAR

9-Year-Old Friesian Sport Horse Gelding • Right at 16 Hands

Avatar has the presence you expect from a Friesian, but there is a whole lot more to this gelding than a beautiful mane and a handsome profile. At 9 years old and standing right at 16 hands, Avatar is genuinely broke. He rides collected, carries himself beautifully and has a soft, educated feel. He has been ridden both Western and English, making him an incredibly versatile gelding with plenty of ability. Above all, Avatar is gentle, safe and trustworthy for any level rider. This horse’s kindness goes above and beyond, and his willing, patient nature is truly one of the things that makes him so special. In the arena, Avatar walks, trots and lopes nicely, picks up his leads, stops, backs and rides collected. He is comfortable to ride and has the training to make him fun for someone who appreciates a well-educated horse. And don’t let that Friesian look fool you—Avatar knows his way around a ranch. He has been used around cattle, gathered and sorted, and he genuinely enjoys having a job to do. He’ll step into a group of cattle and help you move them where they need to go. He has also been used for everyday ranch work, opening gates and covering country. Out on the trail, Avatar is confident and willing. He rides out alone or in a group and is comfortable leading, following or riding in the middle of the pack. He doesn’t need another horse beside him to go down the trail and is just as content bringing up the rear when that’s where you want him. He’ll cross water, travel through rocks and brush, step over logs and handle different terrain. Tarps, flags, bridges and obstacles don’t give him much reason for concern either. Point him where you want him to go and he’ll go right through. Avatar is also accustomed to the everyday things that matter when you own one. He is easy to catch, stands to be groomed, handles well on the ground and hauls well. He is a personable gelding that enjoys attention and is pleasant to have around the barn. That versatility is what makes Avatar so much fun. Ride him collected in the arena, put him in English tack, spend the day gathering cattle, haul him somewhere new or loosen your reins and head down the trail. English, Western, cattle, ranch work or trails—Avatar is a big, beautiful Friesian Sport Horse with a résumé that goes well beyond his looks.
