CB REAL TRADITION
• 2021 AQHA GELDING • 14.3 HANDS
Take the bridle off. Put the kids on him. Rope a steer. Ride him English. Then ask him to sidepass over and pick you up at the mounting block. That’s CB. And that is only the beginning. CB is one of those horses that is almost difficult to describe without sounding like you’re exaggerating. He is that nice. He has an incredible amount of training, a gentle disposition, talent, looks, pedigree—and above everything else, he is an absolute pleasure to ride. Give CB a simple cue from the ground and he’ll sidepass right over to a mounting block, fence or panel, line himself up and wait for you to climb aboard. Once you’re on, you’ll understand why we’re so crazy about him. He’s soft, light and beautifully broke. He’ll walk, jog and lope collected, take his leads, neck rein, sidepass, move off your legs, back, turn around and stop with ease. You don’t have to wrestle with him or constantly remind him of his job. Ask nicely and CB answers nicely. Want to see just how broke he is? Take his bridle off. CB has been ridden completely bridleless, and he isn’t just following another horse around while doing it. He listens to his rider and understands his cues. Put an English saddle on him and he looks like he belongs in it. Put a Western saddle back on and go work cattle. CB has been roping the leadsteer and absolutely enjoys it. He’s athletic, willing and has the ability and breeding behind him to make a very exciting rope horse. Then loosen the reins and go trail ride. Water, bridges, obstacles, flags, tarps, cattle and new country—CB has been exposed to all of it. He is the kind you can actually take somewhere and use, not a horse whose entire résumé was made inside an arena. And here’s where CB becomes really special: Kids have ridden him. Think about that combination for a minute. A registered AQHA gelding with this pedigree. A horse handy enough to rope on. Broke enough to ride bridleless. Classy enough to ride English. Trained enough to sidepass over and pick you up. And gentle enough that the kids get to enjoy him too. That’s not an easy combination to replace. His registered name is CB Real Tradition, and his pedigree carries some serious credentials of its own. Playgun appears on both sides, with Real Gun and Seven From Heaven right there on his papers. The breeding is impressive. The horse himself is better. Because CB isn’t valuable to us simply because of what his papers say he should be able to do. He’s already out there doing it. Rope on him. Ranch on him. Trail ride him. Ride him English. Work the obstacles. Take the bridle off. Let the kids enjoy him. Or simply climb aboard and appreciate what it feels like to ride a horse that has been taught his job correctly. There aren’t many horses we look at and think, “Maybe this one shouldn’t leave.” CB is one of them. He isn’t here because we’re trying to figure out what he might become. He’s already the horse people spend years trying to find. Longhorn Ranch • Paicines, California Dina Cabral • 831-537-1915 Serious buyers are encouraged to come meet CB, spend time with him and ride him for themselves. For those who can’t make the trip to California, FaceTime appointments are available so you can see CB live, ask questions and watch anything you’d like to see. Pre-purchase examinations are always welcome. We are also happy to assist buyers with safe, reputable nationwide transportation and can help coordinate hauling to get CB to his new home. The papers catch your attention. The résumé keeps it. But one ride on CB is what will make you want to take him home.
