A Dashers Heart

A Dashers Heart aka Louie is a 2016 registered AQHA Gelding that stands 15.2H. He has dapples the size of apples WOW!!! He gets attention anywhere he goes! Louie has earnings in over $5,200 on the track so with that speed he could easily be someone’s next top barrel horse. But don’t assum he is a “Ricky Bobby” type he doesn’t have to go fast! In fact he is the kind of trail horse that dreams are made of. He rides out willingly alone, he crosses water without hesitation and he has no concern over dogs or vehicles. He also rides among a group fine at any position within the group. He is not spooky or over-reactive to new things out on a ride and is not barn or buddy sour. Here is the coolest part of Louie… his ranch walk! He walks/gaits out smoothly at 5-7mph and covers ground with ease (you must see his video!!!). It is 100% natural to him and anyone will enjoy the smooth glide whether you are going down the trails or cruising through cattle in the pasture. Of-course he walks quietly and has a nice lope. He reins around good and backs with ease. He is completely clean legged and sound. Louie saddles and bridles quietly. He is great for the farrier and can be shod or go barefoot. He stands tied quietly and trailers very well. Louie appreciates a slow hand and would try to be your best friend with a little love, there is not a mean bone in his body! He loves to be bathed and brushed. Louie has never offered to buck or even be tight when riding after a period of time off. We have not ridden him regularly, just enough to keep him exercised each week and due to the weather and flooding we have had he has had enough time off to prove himself gentle. Louie gets along well when kept pastured in a mixed herd. He tends to be at the bottom of the pecking order. He can be pastured or stalled.
