A HIGH ROLLER

A HIGH ROLLER

“High Roller” 8-Year-Old • 15 Hand • Palomino Paint Gelding

Every so often, a horse comes along that reminds us why we love doing this. High Roller is one of those horses. Of course, you notice him because he’s beautiful. It’s impossible not to. The golden palomino color, bold Paint markings, all that gorgeous mane and tail, and his stout, handsome build make him the kind of horse people turn around for a second look. But spend a little time with High Roller and his looks quickly become just one more thing to love about him. This gelding is genuinely kind. He’s quiet, willing, forgiving and incredibly easy to get along with. There is nothing complicated about enjoying him, and that’s something we don’t take for granted. High Roller is the kind of horse that can fit just about anyone. He’ll quietly take care of someone who simply wants to enjoy riding, but there is plenty of training underneath him for an experienced rider to appreciate. Pick up the reins and he’ll come together beautifully. He walks, jogs and lopes collected, takes both leads, neck reins, moves off your legs, backs, turns around and stops with ease. Drop your hand and he’ll relax and simply carry you. He’s been used around cattle and out on the ranch. He’s traveled the trails through water, hills, rocks and brush, crossed bridges and logs, and covered the kind of country where you find out what you’re really sitting on. He’ll ride out alone without needing another horse for courage and is just as content in a group. Front, back or anywhere in between, High Roller is happy to go along for the ride. His manners on the ground are every bit as impressive as he is under saddle. High Roller is respectful, patient and easy to handle. He stands tied, clips and bathes, is excellent for the farrier and veterinarian, and loads and hauls exceptionally well. He’s the kind of horse that makes the everyday parts of horse ownership enjoyable, too. Traffic, bicycles, dogs, equipment and everyday commotion are nothing new to him. He’s been through flags, tarps, balls, pool noodles and obstacles and takes it all in stride. But none of that alone is what makes us call him special. It’s how easy he makes owning a good horse feel. There’s something pretty wonderful about walking out to the barn, saddling your horse and looking forward to where you’re going instead of wondering what kind of ride you’re going to have. High Roller gives you that feeling. Take him down the trail. Gather cattle. Spend an afternoon in the arena. Let another member of the family enjoy him. Load up and take him somewhere new. He’s easy to catch, groom and saddle, and he’s comfortable living in a stall or pasture. We see a lot of horses, so we don’t use the word special lightly. This one deserves it. High Roller has the beauty people spend years searching for, but more importantly, he has the disposition, training and dependability that can turn a beautiful horse into someone’s favorite horse. And that’s what we want for him. Not simply someone who wants a beautiful palomino Paint. Someone who has been waiting for a horse just like him. The kind of person who will still walk out to the pasture years from now, see that golden face looking back at them and think: “I still can’t believe he’s mine.” Longhorn Ranch • Paicines, California Dina • 831-537-1915 Serious buyers are welcome to come meet and ride High Roller in person.
