This big gorgeous roan gelding checks all the boxes! This gentle giant has the best disposition and is a pleasure to be around. He is safe for any level of rider and could go back to being used on the ranch or the perfect mount for some one who just wants to take leisurely rides on the trails and look good while you’re doing it. He would also be a great babysitter, he only goes as fast as you ask him to. He stands quietly to brush, tack up, takes the bit and he’s ready to go. He stands good for the farrier, and to be bathed. Loads great and will back out. Most any level of rider should be able to ride and enjoy him. He Is patient & kind with any level of rider, he is respectful to anyone on or around him. Currently turned out/pastured with other horses & does great socially. Is easy to catch. Also been great with cats & dogs running around him. He has lots of experience and has been exposed to many different things! Walk over or ride with a tarp, ride bareback with a halter, throw a rope, rope the dummy, ride inside or outside, dog broke, whatever you want he can do it. He will ride 1 handed in the bridle, and easily neck rein wherever you point him. Smokey is as wide as he is tall and has a ton of shape, bone and size to handle anything you want to horseback. He is started on the head side out of the box. He scores, runs, and can rate on the head side. He easily side passes to all the gates and quietly stands to open and shut them. He has been roped on and ridden all over the ranch. He will doctor cattle out in the open and pull anything you tie off on. He’s big and strong enough to control big cattle. He always walks out on the trails with a loose rein and is confident alone or will lead or trail in a group. He’s always gentle, dependable and honest. Smokey is great outside and will go right where you point him without hesitation through the water, mud, all types of terrain, and different landscapes. Smokey has had a lot of outside miles on the trails, through creeks, in mud, and over trees. He has a great ground covering walk and is smooth to ride. Smokey has everything you want and more. He is sound and has no vices. He has the breeding, the ride, the looks and as a bonus, the color! He is a dream horse for whatever it is you want to do.
