Andy is a stunning 5 year old Draftcross gelding that stands 16HH. If you’re looking for a new best friend with the biggest personality with impeccable ground manners and just an absolute gentleman all around, Andy should be your next mount! Before joining our program Andy had been fox hunting, used for some low level eventing and some cross country riding with his previous owners. Since joining our program, we spent many hours exposing him to new obstacles out on the trails and he has been helping us around the ranch with our daily chores. Andy would be a perfect candidate for some lower-level dressage and eventing. He absolutely loves his time out on the trails outside the arena. We have ridden him on the trails for countless miles all over the Sam Houston National Forest and he will cross anything you put in front of him. Andy is sure footed on the trails and will gladly cross through rivers, creeks, lakes and over logs etc. We have ridden through mud, sand and some pretty rough terrain and he will gladly pack you and your gear up and down steep hills and canyons. He is a true trail master! He would love some competitive trail riding. He can be ridden out in a group and has no issue going out alone.
We have trailered him all around and even spent a couple nights out camping with him and Andy was a rockstar! Andy will load and unloads just as easily, he stand quietly for days on the cross ties or will ground tied. He stands patiently to be saddled, bridled, groomed, tacked and bathed! He will pick up all four feet for the farrier. He can wear shoes or be left barefoot depending on your terrain he has great feet! He is UTD on his dental work, vaccinations, and shoeing.In the barn, he is very respectful when it comes to feeding and cleaning stalls. We put Andy on the walker for some daily exercise and he never complains about anything. Andy has no vices. He can be stalled or pastured next to mares and geldings without any concerns. Andy is easy to catch and he will even go right to his stall every evening and in the morning we simply open his stall door and turns himself out! He is such an amazing boy and has a great mind!
Andy is super healthy and sells with a PPE on file, and available to all interested parties. He is an easy keeper! He has a current coggins on file!
