AY Shari’s Crystal

AY Shari’s Crystal, known around the barn as Crystal, is a stunning 16.1hh 5yr old blue roan registered Friesian Heritage (Friesian X Percheron cross) mare. She is a perfect representation of both breeds in one with her size, conformation, substance, and mind. Her dam is a registered blue roan Percheron mare, and her sire is a registered Friesian stallion sired by Sjoerd, who is a multiple World Champion – USEF Horse of the Year, and was honored by having a Breyer model made of him. Crystal is owned by very dear friends of mine who train and breed horses full time. They have owned her for a year and have continued her education and training both in and out of the arena. This mare is extremely broke with a solid foundation in the arena, and countless miles outside. She trail rides and rides out in the open both by her self or with others, down the roads or right into town. She is also very well broke to drive both single or double, has been used for wagon rides during our town’s Christmas celebration of lights, and has made multiple trips to town and through the drive thrus. Under saddle Crystal is a very easy, and uncomplicated ride. She has great body control and natural cadence. She is very comfortable riding on contact or on a slack rein, has great pliability and fluidity through her body, naturally engages, and stays soft and supple. The footage of myself riding her is not only my first ride on her, but also her first time ever doing any sort of dressage work and as you can see she took to it like a natural and felt incredible doing it. Plus she is extremely comfortable ride. She rides equally as nice in a bridle bit or a snaffle and also rides bareback. And on top of how well she rides & drives, this mare could also be a huge asset in a sport horse/cross bred breeding program. Crystal is about as quiet, willing and good minded as a horse can be. She has great ground manners, will tie patiently all day long, cross tie, bathe, clip, load and haul, and stands like a statue to mount both from the ground or a mounting block. She is quiet in high traffic and lots of commotion, great with kids and dogs running around, you can stand on her, crack the bullwhip, carry the flag, toss balls around her, and crawl underneath her and through her legs. She is extremely kind, gentle and just a joy to be around. She stalls beautifully or lives out in a herd setting. She is UTD on all cares, vetting, farrier and teeth.
