2018 AQHA red roan gelding currently standing 14.2hh and should mature to 15hh. “Hoot” is a stunning colt with all the substance and looks to be your next show horse or really good looking trail/obstacle ranch using horse! I’ve owned him since he was a weanling and have enjoyed bringing him along to this point. Every line on this colts papers has a big name from High Brow Cat, Bet Hesa Cat and TR Dual Rey on topside to Dual Pep and Paddy’s Irish Whiskey on the bottom!!!! Hoot is bred to do anything involving a cow or to do anything in a ring!
Hoot is soft in the face and moves off leg easily, he side passes both ways, turns on the forehand and spins, moves his hips, shoulders and rib cage all independently, he has great speed transitions for ranch riding and also a nice whoa and back up. He will guide around one handed and has been started on the flag and has been on live cattle and shows great promise in being a really great cowhorse. He has been shown in ranch riding rail, pattern and trail and was in top 3 of all his classes and most recently the high point green horse champion last weekend at the ECRRA pointed ranch riding show. He has placed high in ranch horse conformation in classes of 15-30 deep as well as consistently plused his maneuvers and transitions in his pattern and rail work. He is great with obstacle courses and loves riding out on trail. I think this colt has potential to go in several directions and with his solid foundation he is ready to finish anyway you’d like! He loads and hauls great, stands tied to the trailer, hobble broke, has had rope swung off him and drug logs. Rides in a snaffle and recently started in a hackamore as well as starting to carry a one handed bit. Current on vaccines and Coggins as well as deworming, hoof care and dental work. 100% sound recently vetted with a clean bill of health and ready to go! Located in Dallas, PA.
