Big Chief

Here he is! Everyone meet Big Chief. Big Chief is the guy you’ve been searching for. He is stout, kind, and athletic. Standing at 16.1 hands tall, don’t let his size fool you! He will lope small circles, do figure eights while catching both leads and will one step lope just like any smaller fancy broke horse. He knows all his cues and will stop on a dime. If you’re looking for safety and luxury, Chief is the one for you! This 6 year old spotted draft cross gelding is surefooted and confident on any trail, crossing any obstacle that comes his way. He will ride in the front or the back, he doesn’t care. He has been ridden by kids, novice riders and is loved by all! He is broke to drive and been hooked to numerous farm equipment pieces, to be worked as well. He is broke extremely well in a carriage. He will “whoa” and “go” just on voice command alone. Chief has been giving carriage rides at the local fairgrounds. He is traffic safe. Chief has been used to pony horses around the farm. We have used him to push and check cattle on the farm. He has been ridden in our local parade as well. Chief is about as diverse as one can get. He is truly one in a million. He is a crowd favorite everywhere he goes. Chief is the first to meet you at the gate and is friendlier than your local used car salesman, he always wants to be where the people are! He will ground tie to be tacked, harnessed, bridled and shod. He stands to be bathed & groomed! He will move to a mounting block with just a voice command to be mounted for riding. He will stand when mounted and dismounting too! Chief is willing to please in any circumstance and is the perfect addition to your family! He is one of the best horses we’ve had the privilege to own.
