Big Jim

Big Jim is registered with the American Quarter Horse Association. His papers go back to the Krog Ranch bloodlines, as well as Solanos breeding on the top side! Big Jim will ride around like a western horse should, he knows all of the basic reining moves, has a great stop, spins both ways and rides low headed and loose in the mouth. Big Jim has bee ridden around the ranch, roped out in the pasture, has ran some steers out of the box on the headside and has done some sorting as well. In the western world, he can go in any direction that you choose!! He is 4 years old and will mature at 15.3hh. Big Jim is not only bred to a T, conformationally correct, and stunning he is also broke enough for your grandma while being fun and handy enough for a cowgirl! He has a true solid neck rein, and will move right off of your seat and leg. His transitions both upward and downward are effortless. He will lope right from a walk and stop on whoa. Big Jim has a soft mouth and will ride in any bit from a simple snaffle to a curb bit or even just a neck rope. This boy is an all rounder and rides both English and western. He’s got plenty of miles out on the trails. Big Jim has been to many local metro and state parks. He’s willing to lead or follow in a group or ride out alone. It’s hard to find something that will spook Big Jim. He has been in parades and even carries the flag. He’s definitely brave with a great temperament. He’s easy to catch out in his large field and gets along with other horses. Big Jim has been roped off of and done some basic ranch work. He is wise beyond his years. Give this boy a bath and take him to the show ring or just enjoy a relaxing trail ride. He’s fun for those experienced riders but also quiet and safe for any beginner rider. He has recently started his English training and is doing amazing. He is schooling 1st level dressage moves with excellent self carriage. He has also taken to jumping very well. He is jumping full courses with automatic flying changes. He is not one to notice when the course has changed, or new flower or fill are added. He marches around poking his cute little nose out and popping his knees right up. His canter is a delight to sit and he holds a quiet rhythm while being adjustable.
