Meet Biggs, a 2017 AQHA Registered Sorrel Gelding. Biggs is a beautiful, eye catching, prime aged gelding that checks all the boxes when looking for your next equine partner. He started his riding career in the Flint Hills of Kansas on a large cattle operation. He was used daily for ranch chores consisting of gathering and sorting at weaning time. He spent a significant amount of time in the feed yard, as well, where he was used to pull sick cattle that needed doctored, shipping fat cattle, and sorting pen mixes. Biggs knows what a day’s wage entails. He’s very reliable and honest to go do a day’s work on. The biggest asset Biggs has on his resume is his kind, gentle disposition. He was ridden by an elderly man nearly every morning while in the feed yard. He never had to worry about any nonsense when Biggs was on the time clock. Biggs has been ridden by nearly every level rider imaginable. Even at his ripe age of 4, Biggs has a personality like a seasoned veteran. Nothing can replace wet saddle blankets and good hands when it comes to training a horse, Biggs has had both. Don’t let his pedigree fool you, Biggs is super cowy, and definitely more WHOA than GO. He is built to last a life time, clean legged, and a gentleman to have around. He gets along great with other horses. Easy to catch, saddle, bathe, shoe, and bridle. He hauls great in the trailer and will back off as well. Biggs is very personable and loves attention. Loud, thundering feed trucks have zoomed past him the last 2 years. He never gets worked up or nervous in a stressful situation with us and we believe he will make a great addition to anyone’s program. Biggs stands 15.1 weighs a full 1200 lbs., is low headed, soft in the bridle, and always aims to please.
