BROWNIE — TRUE ALL-AROUND FAMILY GELDING Brownie is a stunning 7-year-old blood bay gelding standing exactly 15 hands and weighing approximately 1,200 lbs. He is home-raised, and we have owned him his entire life, so we know exactly what he is. Brownie’s personality is every bit as genuine as his looks. He is kid-broke, gentle, safe, and dependable. The term “bombproof” fits him well—we have shot guns around and off him and had fireworks all around him without getting him excited. He has no buck, no spook, and no bad habits. Brownie has been used extensively in our lesson program with children of multiple riding levels. He is patterned on the barrels and poles, has been roped on in the arena and pasture, and spent six months working in a Western Kansas feedlot as a four-year-old. He has carried the American flag in grand entries at numerous youth rodeos, both indoors and outdoors. He is traffic safe around semis, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, tractors, skid loaders, and everyday farm activity. Brownie has also been on week-long trail rides, where he will stand quietly tied to a picket line or trailer. He stands perfectly to mount from a mounting block, picnic table, or trailer fender and has exceptional ground manners. Whether you ride him once a week or leave him off for a couple of months, Brownie is the same horse every time. He is easy to catch, comes when called, loves attention, stands great for the farrier, and gets along well with other horses. He can live comfortably in a pasture or stall. Brownie is an easy keeper and loads and hauls well in anything from a stock trailer to a two-horse trailer. He is current on vaccinations, deworming, dental work, farrier care, and shoes. Brownie is the kind that is extremely hard to replace—a genuine, versatile, family-safe all-around gelding.
