Daisy Mae

Talk about a big boned draft cross that rides and moves like a quarter horse! Daisy Mae is a 2020 draft cross mare standing 16hh. She is an absolute sweetheart and has an in your pocket personality. Daisy doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and truly wants to be your best friend. She stands for mounting, saddling, bathing, grooming, farrier etc. She loads and hauls well. She can be kept out in the field with other horses or in the barn in a box stall. Daisy picks up both her leads with ease and has a true one step short lope. She is soft in the bridle and works well off leg pressure. She has a soft and easy backup and a nice quick stop. She has been extensively trail ridden and crosses water, logs or any thing else in her path. Daisy has also been exposed to the arena obstacles and does them all. We have used her for ranch work also such as checking cows and repairing fences. Daisy can work all day and still keep a good attitude. One of the coolest things about Daisy is that she can also be drove. We have used her in the buggy and carriages. She is not scared of traffic. She was raised by the Amish and has been used in all types of farm machinery. Daisy has great ground manners and is not pushy. She is broke to flags, tarps, whips. Around our place she is always the one that gets picked first to do any job. Daisy is currently being trained to lay down on command and is coming along nicely. Daisy Mae lives in Greensburg Ky.
