Are you looking for The big, quiet, sensible, steady Eddie type? The one who you can depend on to teach a new rider or take care of a timid one? Well would like to introduce you to Dale! He is a beautiful, 5 year old, bright bay draft cross gelding (Percheron X Appendix). Dale is just an absolute love of a horse. He is a go with the flow kinda guy. He adores people, and attention, and will stand for hours to get all dolled up! He stands a stocky 16.2hh. Dale has great bone structure, solid hooves, and timeless bright bay coat. He is easy to catch in any size field and plays well with all others horses, ponies, mares, geldings, donkeys, etc… Dale has been trail ridden all over from Kentucky to Michigan and is no stranger woods, water, wildlife, cracking brush, bicyclists, runners, hikers, and just a general day on the trails. He has been exposed to traffic and will ride alone anywhere you want to take him. Dale has recently been taken out to Michigan’s beautiful Foxhunt country and has hacked out alone and in company. He also rides in the arena walk, trot, canter; all of his gates are extraordinarily smooth. Dale is more of a laid-back type of ride. He moves on and off of seat and leg pressure. He side passes like a dream, stops on a dime, and lopes out of his tracks. He has also been asked to carry the flag in local parades. Dale also jumps. In the arena, he is brave to the fences, and keeps a steady pace to the jumps. He is not bothered by new fill, flowers, or when you rearrange the courses. He’s also been schooled cross country and shows tremendous potential as a cross country or fox hunt mount. Dale could be that laid-back, take out on the trails once to twice a week kinda guy, a competitive show horse, a hunt horse, cross country type, or a laid-back dependable hunt horse for almost any level a rider. He’s stocky, he’s beautiful, he’s sensible, and he’s very well broke in a variety of disciplines! Please watch the video, he speaks for himself!
