DaVinci

DaVinci is an 11 yo tri-color Gypsy cross gelding standing about 13.1hh. Broke to ride and drive, suitable for a confident beginner and up. Extremely handy on the trail, crosses whatever is in front of him, happy to lead, follow, pony, and ride out alone or in a group. Traffic safe and can really cover ground. Tough, will last all day but never gets hot-headed.
Not finished in the ring, but will happily WTC, pick up both leads, pop over a few jumps, etc. Fine with ATVs, dogs, mowers, kids, and what have you. Has hunted 1st/2nd flight, while green to jumps, hacks beautifully anywhere in a group, will stop and wait if someone has to dismount, let you get gates, and will wait patiently without fuss for his turn at an obstacle. No dirty ducking, dodging, or diving. Use him to check fences, move cattle, break colts, clear brush, hunting, or just enjoy a nice trail ride. Gets along great with other horses, ties, loads, bathes, clips, hobbles, trailers like a dream. If glorious, long manes are your thing, you’ll love this guy! Sporty pony that you could clean up for the show ring in just about any discipline. Smart and willing, game for anything you can throw his way. Relaxed and will happily walk on a loose rein, but not a plodder. Forgiving, doesn’t hold a grudge – would make a good lesson pony for a trainer with a good sense of humor. Straightforward and uncomplicated ride, easy to get along with. Doesn’t have the toughest feet, fine to go barefoot in soft arena footing but recommend front shoes at least for riding on hard ground. Currently shod all around with front leather pads for driving on sharp gravel (no wedge). No other maintenance or health issues identified. Passed a basic soundness exam and veterinary evaluation with flying colors. Full PPE can be arranged upon request. Located in St. Charles, Iowa.
