Deacon Blue is a jaw dropping 3yr old, 15.2hh, bay roan AQHA gelding by the prestigious 𝙑𝙎 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙪𝙚 and out of a producing daughter of Gotta Get Tuff (full sibling to A Sudden Impulse). Pedigree aside, with his looks, demeanor, and ability, Deacon has absolutely everything going for him to be the next superstar in your lineup. Whether you’re wanting to hit the show pen or just looking for your next up and comer to enjoy at home, this good looking gelding is ready to step up to the plate. Deacon was started in a pleasure program slowly and correctly the beginning of his 2yr old year and then he was transitioned to more of the ranch versatility side of things. All of Deacon’s gaits are smooth and comfortable to ride with an untapped cadence that will surely have everyone drooling that watches him go around. He is soft in his face, his transitions are smooth, and he retains things you teach him well. There is very rarely a day you have to show this gelding something twice as Deacon has a pleasing attitude and all of the ability. Deacon has been ridden both western and english and has been introduced to going over fences. Over fences, Deacon is bold and shows all of the traits that he would not only enjoy doing it but be successful at it. No matter what discipline or direction you decide to finish him out; pleasure, ranch riding, rail, trail, equitation, hunter-jumper; Deacon has the physical ability but most importantly the mind to do it all. If the show pen isn’t your thing, Deacon could easily be turned into the best leisurely riding and trail riding partner one could ask for too. Yes he has everything going for him to be a fantastic performance horse, but most importantly Deacon has the mind to do and be whatever you choose to mold him into. Deacon has been ridden outside an extensive amount of time compared to most bred like him and he’s shown to love it just as much as going around fancily. While Deacon has been with us, we’ve exposed him to all kinds of obstacles and situations to help shape him into the well rounded and versatile gentleman he aspires to be; bridges, tarps, water, vehicle traffic, machinery, hauling off property, farm animals, cattle, flags, etc.. With each obstacle and each situation, Deacon handled it all with the maturity of a horse triple his age and worked through each with a certain boldness and sureness that makes us love him even more. On the ground, Deacon is a perfect gentleman for all daily handling. He loves his grooming time, will stand still for bathing, and your farrier will love him too. You can saddle Deacon tied, cross tied, or ground tied, and he will stand patiently for bridling and mounting as well. Deacon has always hauled with no issues and is ready to load up and unload anytime. To just be around and spend time with Deacon is to love him as his personality is that of a teddy bear. He is an extremely kind and loving gelding that just wants to please and be around you. Deacon is UTD on all routine care, has no previous health or soundness issues and has no scars or blemishes.
