She has a solid understanding of the basics and moves beautifully through a walk, trot, and canter. In addition to arena work, she has been introduced to the trails, making her versatile and ready to be started in your chosen discipline. She rides both english and western with confidence. She will stand to be sprayed, pick up all 4 feet and loads nicely in a trailer. Delta is fearless and will cross bridges, go through creeks and won’t spook at every shadow. Personality & Ground Manners: Delta is an intelligent mare with lots of personality. Like many talented young horses, she can be sensitive to the learning process and is occasionally expressive during her groundwork routine and will show some typical “mare attitude” when being girthed up for work. She simply requires a patient, capable handler who can establish a consistent, and firm routine on the ground. Once she trusts the routine and her leader, she settles into her job beautifully. Delta is still green and needs to continue developing her skills and manners. Because of her age I wouldn’t recommend her for a beginner. She will thrive best with a confident rider or a trainer in a consistent program who knows how to channel her intelligence into a rewarding partnership.
