It’s a bird… it’s a plane… NO! It’s just a ONE-OF-A-KIND 8 yo draft cross gelding with ALL the bells & whistles you could ever dream of! Hercules is BY FAR one of the coolest horses I have EVER ridden and one of the SWEETEST souls I have EVER gotten the chance to get to know and be around. He is so entertaining! Don’t ask me how I know, but he is the only horse I’ve ever met that LOVES PB & J sandwiches for a snack… Hercules is gracefully inquisitive, abundantly charming and has never met a stranger a day in his life! Even though he’s pals with all the other horses, he is ALWAYS the first horse to come to the gate when he sees you walking up, eagerly vying for your attention and ready to be caught. Brushing? Picking out hooves? Saddling? Bathing? Hercules enjoys it all! He’s great for the farrier, loads and unloads superb and is a horse you’ll find an immense amount of joy in owing every single day you stroll out to the barn. Hercules is like something you’d expect to come straight out of a fairytale, it’s no surprise that he has heads turning everywhere he goes. Not to mention his lengthy mane and his tail so long & luscious that it drags the ground with every step he takes. His forelock goes well past his big, kind eyes. Personally, I’m a bit envious of this guys hair genes… But Hercules doesn’t just look like a dream, he rides like a dream too! Hercules has the most FLOATY, SMOOTH stride that makes everyone who gets the chance to ride him smile from ear to ear with total glee! His lope is what I would imagine floating around on a cloud feels like, you can sit his trot all day long too. It’s that comfy. He manages to check all of these boxes while still being suave, attentive, and BROKE BROKE BROKE! Talk about the full package!! Like a gentleman, Hercules is responsive to his rider, and he waits on his rider’s cues. Hercules walks, trots, lopes both directions, and he moves off both your seat and feet. Hercules even has some fancier buttons, he knows how to neck rein, side pass, flex, counter flex, collect, stop, & back up. Plus he has a BIG, FUN stop. Simply sit down and he is sliding to a stop! What other draft cross has all of these handy and useful buttons!?! You can look high and low, and never find another in the world like him! Hercules is seriously the coolest. And like the corny Hannah Montana song, he is the BEST of BOTH worlds!!! Hercules will EXCEL in either a Western OR an English home, he is just simply that versatile and broke enough to do a WIDE variety of tasks. The opportunities are endless with Hercules underneath you! Hercules even has a bit of experience as a jumper. He is a TOTAL BLAST FOR ALL LEVELS because he’s as uncomplicated as can be to sail over anything you ask him to jump! Just point and shoot. He has taught beginner jumper’s, such as myself, the basics of going over cross rails and cavalettis. He built my confidence going over jumps, making jumping enjoyable for me and I know he will do the same for someone else if they so desire! Hercules has been trail ridden through rivers, over rocky landscapes, and around other unfamiliar horses. He has been taken out and cruised around through town, and near traffic. On the ground, Hercules has a puppy dog personality! He adores spa days, scratches, & all the attention he can get!!! Cookies are his #1 favorite treat, and belly rubs are his favorite pastime! He’s like a big, loveable family dog. Even at feeding time, Hercules gets along with all of his pasture mates. Hercules loads in or out of the trailer effortlessly, and he hauls well. Tears are going to be shed when this special gelding leaves my barn but I can’t wait to watch him change someone’s life in ways so great they’ll wonder how they ever survived without him.
