Huckleberry, is a Percheron QH cross that has the build and bone of a Percheron and the buttons and ability of a quarter horse! He even has a sit and lay down button just like a dog!
This gelding will ride around like a little horse and make you never want to get off! From smooth WTC transitions to a rocking chair lope, you’d never know you’re on a big Draftcross . He is soft in the bridle, knows his leads and neck reins. Huckleberry knows his basic lateral movements and would make a great western dressage prospect. He would also excel in eventing, hunt seat or any type of ranch work. This big lovable boy is super athletic and has the heart of a lion.
Huckleberry is 100% traffic and trail safe! He crosses all types of terrain, obstacles and water! He LOVES riding through the ponds and the creeks. He was a complete gentleman in town and has been in a handful of parades! He would be a great mounted patrol candidate!
Huckleberry unloads and loads, stands to be tied, bathed, groomed and tacked. He can be shy on the ground but will quickly warm up. He picks up both front feet great for the farrier but will need a slower approach when picking up his back feet with a new farrier . He has no issue with fly spray , bathing etc.
