Judges First Angel (Tibby) 2010 Reg. APHA 15 h Black / White Mare If I was asked to explain what a well rounded versatile horse was, I would just describe our mare Tibby. She is that great blend of nice conformation (that promotes soundness), good minded, and shines both inside and out of the arena. She has had extensive training in both western and English disciplines. Tibby has been used for many different jobs at our farm from lessons, showing, trail riding, and is ready to be someone’s ranch horse if that’s the direction they wish to go. When it comes to English riding Tibby is all class with her floaty trot and beautiful form over fences. She is currently jumping around 2’6” courses with flying or simple lead changes. She has earned several Championships and Reserve Championships at the shows with her riders.
Tibby also has that Western grit to her and has a great handle. We have thrown a rope off her, and she shows lots of potential to make a great ranch horse. She does not mind tarps, pulling logs, going through gates, and has been exposed to cattle. She would be an exceptional 4H horse for the rider who likes to do it all, and is quality enough to be shown on the breed circuit as well. Tibby is not all show, she is a well seasoned trail horse and has been one of our go to trail horses for those long trips. We just recently got back from a week long trip to Eminence, MO. She really allows you to enjoy yourself while trail riding, crosses water: creeks and rivers, handles all type of steep and rough terrain with no issues, and it doesn’t matter if you like to lead the group or bring up the rear. She is not spooky or reactive and rides down the road like a pro. Tibby is sound, requires no maintenance, no vices, and is up to date on farrier, coggins, deworming, and vaccinations. She is easy to tack up, stands for all grooming, loads/ unloads easily. Tibby is a true all around horse that isn’t limited to just riding in the arena or only for trail riding.
