This is a super long post, but totally worth reading!!
Here’s a gelding worth a million alone based off of his safety, knowledge and reliability!
Lenny is a 14yr old 15hh buckskin leopard Appaloosa gelding
He is built the right way, big boned, footed and as easy on the eyes as it gets
Lenny has had two owners all of his life and is being sold due to no fault of his own, his owners are just tired of seeing him sit around! Lenny has been with us for 6 months and has been absolutely NOTHING but a pleasure to work with! He would surely be our own, but we don’t want him sitting in the field being wasted either!
Lenny is a SUPER SAFE all arounder that is a
– Finished reiner
– Open caliber sorter
– Proven money earner
– Proven winner in reining, ranch riding, ranch pleasure, trail classes
– Runs barrels
– Rides English
– Jumps obstacles

Lenny has a nice slow trot and lope
Has a slow pitter patter trot and a rocking chair lope
He is super comfortable and will not hurt your back, your butt will never come out of the saddle unless you aren’t prepared for his stop
He will open up and move out when you ask him to do so
Lenny prefers to be rode one handed with a soft low hand but also direct reins as well
He solely stops off of your feet and will sit on his hocks everything single time
He will back a mile long turn around and lope right off the other direction
He lopes off from a stand still both ways and knows his leads like cake work
Rides around on a loose rein or collected on the bit, he will NEVER raise his head above the saddle horn
He will spin a hole a foot deep each direction and plant his foot every single time in a bridle or bridleless
You can lope around, stop and back bridleless as well
He has lead changes, but it has been several years since he was asked to do any
He has won countless checks in the sorting pen. He is super competitive in the western heritage, #4, #6 and #8 ranch sorting classes. He is not afraid of cows and loves to work them. He holds the gate like a champ and will not back down from a cow
Easy enough for a beginner sorter to learn the ropes on
He previously had 3 years of extensive barrel training then he came home to his owners. It has been 6 years since he has seen a barrel pattern but sure enough will run the pattern
We have personally showed him in western pleasure, ranch pleasure, walk trot, go as you please, and trail classes
He wins everytime he steps on that trailer to head to a show
Last weekend was top 3 out of 15-25 riders in all of your ranch and pleasure classes
He won his youth, novice and open reining classes with a catch rider who only got 20 minutes of riding to feel him out. He brought home many blues and trophies last weekend
Lenny will carry the flag around, side pass left to right, open and close gates, pony other horses, you name it
He has been rode through many obstacle courses and is always a point and go through everything
He has been extensively trail rode on every terrain you can think of
He crosses through water, over logs, through ditches, over bridges, up and down hills etc
He will pack you through the mountains all weekend long
Lenny will picket or highline tie/ weekend camp
He is 100% traffic safe to all traffic and farm equipment
He is a Surefooted, honest, brave trail mount that anyone can trail ride
You can point him there and he will go with absolutely no questions asked
Countless amounts of cold ones have been popped open off of his back
He will ride out confidently alone or in a group
Gets along great with mares and geldings
Lenny has had countless of kids ride him and he is super mindful of when a kid is on his back or around him. He absolutely adores kids and will teach your kids how to ride
As long as you can sit up there and steer Lenny will take care of the rest
He will ride off English or western
Lenny has the BEST personality and is very much in your pocket
He loves treats and will do tricks for treats
He will lick your hands off and talk to you
Lenny will be the first one to meet you at the gate and is super easy to catch
He stalls quietly as well
You can ride Lenny every single day or let him sit for a month and he will be the exact same every single time
You can trail ride him one day, sort the next and show at a local rated show the following day, he does not care. He will never need any preparing for anything you want to do with him, he will be game for whatever your doing that day
He will ride with or without spurs
Lenny has no vices and requires no maintenance
He does have a old hard bump on the inside of his left front ankle, it is old, has been vet checked and does not bother him what’s so ever. It is there and will be there for the rest of his life, again does not cause him any issues it is just a blemish
Otherwise has no other blemishes on him and is very clean legged
Lenny sells 100% sound
He is UTD on all of his shots, worming, feet, coggins etc
This is such a hard ad to write as we absolutely adore him head to toe! He is the kind that everyone dreams of owning! He is super special and is looking for that special person to use him and enjoy him!
