Let me introduce to you LH KINGS VALENTINE aka Blue Duck. Blue Duck is a 16 hand 2008 registered true blue roan gelding that has all the looks, conformation, and brains you could ask for. If you are wanting to find a quiet and level headed guys, Blue Duck would be at the top of the list. Blue Duck is the definition of an all around family, ranch and packing horse. He is an absolute sweetheart to be around and can be brushed and ridden by the smallest kids or the elderly. Blue Duck has been a gem to have around our ranch. He is our go to horse to get any job we need done. We have used him to catch and doctor calves, rope loose cattle, and so much more. He will rope either end head or heel and will hold a tight rope while your doctoring sick calves. We use this handsome guy daily to ride fences and check cattle. Blue Duck has been hauled all across the country where he has seen many different types of environments from rough, steep trails to thick, swampy woods. He is very sure footed on rough terrain taking every step carefully to insure his rider is safe. He crosses creeks, fallen timber, boulders, rivers, mud etc. He has been shown in ranch and has competed in ranch/trail competitions where he had done excellent. He has a very nice slow walk, trot cantor with a great stop and backs up correctly. He will side pass to open and close gates, has a nice neck rein and is very light in the face. Blue Duck is very desensitized to just about anything you can think of, trucks, semis, Amish buggy’s, farm equipment, guns etc. He has been to jr rodeos working and playing and loves to please his rider in the arena. He stands to be mounted and dismounted in the arena and on the trail. He stands to be saddled bridled, brushed, washed, clipped, and is our farriers best friend. Blue Duck also rides English and is very collective in the ring with his slow gates. When our friends who are very beginner riders come over, he is the guy we put them on. He has been ridden by our 3 year old daughter and our elderly friends as well. Whatever you are wanting to do show, rope, trail ride, rodeo, he is your man to do it all. You can ride him once a week or once a month and he will never act up or do anything out of the way. He is 100% sound with no bad habits or vices.
