Perfect conformation, gentle disposition, silky feather, one of the thickest tails you’ve ever seen, and the most beautiful silver dapple color. Ziggy was purchased directly from the breeder as a yearling with no intentions of ever selling him. He is only available due to a divorce. Lord Zakur of Dirthmatore is Elven for “Masculine Victors of the Moon.” Ziggy was born on the 13th of September 2019 under a full harvest moon. He is sired by Ruthar’s Sunlight of Lexlin out of a daughter of Cici’s Sir Keith by the famous St. Clarins. Ziggy is double-registered with the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society and Gypsy Horse Registry of America. GVHS # GV07797 and GHRA # A00003371. He currently measures 14.1H barefoot and is expected to grow to 14.3H. Ziggy has over 7 months of professional driving training. He was started slowly and correctly with a strong foundation. He pulls tires and a harrow to drag the paddocks, arena, and round pen. He has driven 2-wheel carts, 4-wheel carts, and wagons. Ziggy was started under saddle last fall. He rides a couple times per week with a combination of trail riding and arena work. For reference, the rider in the video is 5’11”. Ziggy is soft in the bridle and responds well to seat, leg, and voice commands. He rides English and Western and has more whoa than go. He is naturally a curious horse and loves trail riding and trail obstacle. He is ready to start the 2023 show season and win the English, Western, and trail classes. He rides and drives around mares, geldings, and other stallions with no issues. He is a quiet and well-mannered stallion. Ziggy skipped the small local horse shows and jumped headfirst into showing at the big venues competing against older, seasoned show horses. His very first horse show was Feathered Horse Classic at the World Equestrian Center. He placed 3rd in a young stallion halter class and 6th place in a halter class with almost 2 dozen North American bred Gypsy horses. Ziggy’s second horse show was the 2022 Georgia National Fair Draft Horse Show, where he won 1st place in LD Stallion Halter, 1st place in LD Adult Pleasure Driving, and 2nd place in Open Adult Obstacle Cart. His third horse show was Gypsy Vanner Congress in Perry, Georgia, where he placed 1st in Halter Stallions 2-3yr, 3rd place in Reinsmanship, 3rd place in Ladies Driving, 4th place in Obstacle Driving, 4th place in Liberty, and 4th place in Open Pleasure Driving. Ziggy’s color genetics are aa, Ee, Zz, W20/n. He has a 50% chance of passing red, black, silver, or dominant white 20 to any offspring. Ziggy tests negative for HYPP, PSSM, and all other genetic diseases on the Etalon Diagnostics DNA panel. He has been trained to mount the phantom dummy for collection and has never been allowed to live cover. Ziggy can turn out alone or with geldings. Everyone that meets him in the barn says he is one of the best mannered stallions they have ever seen. He is the easiest horse to catch. Hold out a halter and Ziggy will run over to you, put his head in the halter, and turn to the side for you to tie it on. He is a perfect gentleman for grooming, hair/feather care, bathing, sheath cleaning, clipping, loading, hauling, routine vet work, and hoof trimming. In fact, he is used as the model horse at the barn for hoof trimming lessons. Ziggy has excellent barefoot hooves and has always been barefoot with no need for shoes.
