Martini

Martini (like the drink!) is the perfect age and size at 9 years old, 14.2 hands! She’s a pretty and athletic mare that has had a really neat start to life. She was originally purchased as a young horse by a young girl who went on to do all of Martini’s training herself! The young lady who trained her, worked as an assistant for several different professional trainers and Martini got a ton of exposure from many different types of programs and trainers. Because of that, this little mare has had the benefit of a lot of upper-level guidance and exposure throughout her development, while still being brought along by the same consistent rider from the beginning. Martini has smooth well-developed gaits, catches both of her leads, has a nice turn around, stop, and a soft handle. Martini is extremely kind, tolerant, and forgiving. She’s handy, quick-footed, and has been allowed to do a little bit of everything along the way. She has been used as a turnback horse in the cutting pen, has been started on both barrels and poles, and has attended smaller play days. Outside of an arena setting, she has done tons of trail riding, been ridden around town and in parades, and has been through ponds, creeks, and all kinds of outside terrain. She’s had plenty of casual time as a pet as well…including lots of bareback riding. She has even been ridden briefly in an English program, where she was started lightly over fences. She’s the kind that has seen enough to stay level-headed, but hasn’t been drilled in one specific direction, leaving a lot of opportunity for her next owner to take her whichever way they’d like to go. She’s very easy to get along with and has the kind of mind that makes her enjoyable for a wide variety of riders.
