MARVIN

Marvin is a 5-year-old Quarter Pony/Friesian cross gelding standing 14.2 hands. He may be on the smaller side, but don’t let his size fool you—this little horse is mighty, handy, and has a ton to offer! Marvin has a sweet, friendly personality and is naturally curious about whatever you’re doing. He enjoys attention, is pleasant to have around, and gets along great with other horses. He truly doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has been a safe, honest horse to handle and ride. For a young horse, Marvin has a very nice foundation underneath him. He neck reins, has a good handle, and is responsive without being overly sensitive. He has also been given time off and has never come back fresh or silly. He has remained safe and sensible, making him the kind you can enjoy without feeling like you need to keep him in a strict program just to keep his mind right. In the arena, Marvin is not being represented as a 100% finished horse, but he has all of the important basics in place. He walks, trots, and lopes nice circles, neck reins, and has a good stop. He has a correct foundation and enough of a handle that his next person can take what is already there and continue developing him in whatever direction suits them best. Outside of the arena, Marvin has already seen many miles of trails. He handles new sights and surroundings calmly and has proven himself to be sensible when out and about. He is the type of young horse that has already had enough real-world exposure to give him a good head on his shoulders while still having plenty of room for someone to put their own finishing touches on him. Marvin is a very broke young horse who is ready for someone to take him to the next level. Whether you want to continue developing him in the arena, make him into a handy all-around horse, or simply have a fun and dependable trail partner, he has a great foundation to build from. He would make an especially fun winter project for someone wanting a young horse they can finish out their own way without having to start from scratch. The hard part has already been done—he has the foundation, the handle, the miles, and most importantly, a good mind. He is one you can make into your own while having the confidence that he has been started correctly and has never shown any intention of doing anything to hurt you.
