“Mary Lynn” – 15H, 12 year old gray grade quarter horse mare. “Mary Lynn” is one of the most versatile, true all-around horses we have had in a long time! Amazing family horse, pleasure horse, trail horse or first horse. This one could get you started in literally ALL OF IT – would be great for the lower level dressage, Pony Club, Hunter/Jumper shows, but and also take a young rider to the 4-H shows, compete in the ranch riding and Ranch versatility competitions, trail horse competitions, play days, speed events, drill team, queens competitions, and even rope off of her! Mary Lynn is absolutely pleasant, all business, zero non-sense whatsoever….but still very personable, sweet, kind, great natured, and enjoyable to be around. She is smooth and pleasant to ride anywhere, every single step of the way. She has good cadence, and carries herself very naturally and easily. Comfy to just sit on, uncomplicated – just point wherever you want and she goes there. Smooth gaited and one of the favorite ones that all the kids fight over riding. She absolutely loves the water… as in you almost have to be a little careful riding around water, or walking up to grab a drink – because she will definitely encourage you to just go get in it, if she is given the chance! She hops right on the trailer like a seasoned good old Ranch gelding, and she hauls and rides out just as confidently alone as she does in a group. She catches both leads easily, and has a great stop on whoa. Very consistent, solid, and honest – can pull her bridle off and she’ll go anywhere that you point her with just a little nudge across her neck. She is always happy to stop, great brakes on “Whoa”, but willing to go to work and doesn’t make you ask 17 times before she gives you a trot or a nice little hobby horse lope. Easy to get along with in all ways, great ground manners, happy kept up in the barn, happy outside and gets along really well in a group of horses, easy to turn out with anyone.
