Maverick is a 16.1HH, 7 year old dappled grey Percheron and quarter horse cross that is guaranteed to win over your heart! Standing 16.1 HH and weighting 1500 lbs, this guy’s heart may be just as big as his body! Wither you want to go trail riding or participate in local English shows, Maverick is a perfect candidate for you. He is also broke to drive single and double. Over the past few years he has been used as a carriage horse for weddings and funerals and enjoys being the spotlight of an event! From the trails, arena and in town, this guy is solid and safe. He has never offered to buck, bite, bolt, rear, or bite. He is aware of his surroundings and takes great care of his riders. From beginners to professionals, Maverick is a sturdy and confidence boosting mount! He has all the buttons a person could ask for and is forgiving to a brand-new rider. Out of the trails Maverick steadily goes through all types of water, brush, and terrain. On the obstacle course, he goes over the and under just about anything, from logs to tarps and bridges! He can be rode out alone or in a group either in the fron tor the back of the pack comfortably! With a rocking chair lope, you’ll never want to stop riding this big guy! I can truly say he is the smoothest and brokest draft cross I have ever rode! He works off leg pressure, rides on a tight or lose rein and neck reins as well. He picks up all of his correct leads, side passes and backs up with ease! He will collect up on the bridle or lope on a loose rein. Even ride him bareback! At the stable Maverick is very easy and safe to handle! He is easy to catch, tack up, groom, bathe, load and unload! He stands like a statue for the farrier and is a perfect patient for the vet! Maverick gets along in all types of herd settings and can live inside or outside with no complications! He has been the miles and travels well! Maverick is as healthy as they come and has a soundness PPE on file for all interested parties. He is UTD on all shoeing, dental and vet work! He does wear front shoes due to our rocky terrain.
