Maverick

Maverick is a 12 grade quarter horse gelding, he stands 14.3 hands tall and wide! This gelding is shapey and made right with a strong hip and broad shoulder tying into a very pretty neck and baby doll head with the biggest doe eyes. Maverick is uncomplicated to work with and ride. He stands in cross ties to be groomed, saddled and is behaved for the vet and farrier. He is good in the wash rack and loves to be spoiled. Maverick rides soft and collected in contact or relaxed out on a slack rein, he gives to pressure laterally both ways and will side pass and leg yield at the walk and trot both ways. He can ride around simple for a beginner type rider but also will step it up and ride handy for someone with a little more experience, he will do roll backs off the wall, stop on his hind end and has a fluid back up. He will guide around one handed off a neck rein and leg/seat as well. Maverick is comfortable and balanced and takes both leads with ease- he does have a nice clean simple lead change as well. Will ride outside the arena across the field or down the trails through the woods. Maverick crosses over deadfall, through the water and creek beds and up and down steep mountains and grades. He will ride out alone or in a group. He is safe around dogs and other farm animals. Maverick is easy to load and hauls mannerly alone in the trailer or side by side others. He sells sound with no limitations or vices. Would do well in both English and western lesson type programs. As always we welcome vet checks at the prospective buyers expense.
