McCoy

This 3 year old, 15 hand- Brabant x QH crossbred gelding is the real McCoy! He is quiet! He is flashy! He is comfortable! McCoy rides around super level headed and has a ton of naturally ability. He is soft in the face and rides nicely in contact, he flexes to both sides and has a nice stop. He has been started on side passing and leg yields and will leg yield off both quarter lines at a trot! He has such easy and smooth transitions from the walk up trough the trot and canter and back down from canter to trot and walk! McCoy is one of the most comfortable and balanced young crossbreds I’ve ever swung my leg over, he takes both leads nicely and used his hind end through travel like a good one should. McCoy has a smooth and seamless simple lead change and will lope off with just a simple kiss and slide of outside leg. McCoy rides around the arena confidently and could easily be a nice lesson horse for a western or english program. He will trot over ground poles and he will also jump a cross rail. We have worked the “mechanical flag” off him and he really enjoyed it, he’s also been around love cattle and was comfortable pushing them from pasture to pasture. He is quiet around equipment and in traffic. Out on trail McCoy will ride out alone or in a group and is confident enough to take the lead and trail blaze if needed. He negotiated steep downhill grades surefooted and slow as well as did some mountain climbing and even jumped him up on top of a few large boulders. He’s carried our flag, carried the 6’ beach umbrella and has been taught to lay down and sit up like a dog! McCoy is very well behaved for the vet and farrier, he stands to be groomed and lovely in the wash rack. He loads into any stall trailer and hauls quietly- he off loads at new places the same as he is at home and requires no prep to be ridden. McCoy is good stall kept or turned out in a mixed herd. He’s an easy keeper, requires zero maintenance and sells sound without vices or limitations. As always we welcome vet checks at the prospective buyers expense.
