MICKEY

If you’ve been searching for that quiet, dependable, confidence-building gelding that the whole family can enjoy, Mickey is exactly the kind that fits the bill! Mickey is a 12-year-old, 14.1-hand Haflinger gelding that is as gentle, quiet, and trustworthy as they come. He is 100% FAMILY SAFE and is the kind of horse we feel comfortable putting just about anyone on. Whether you have a young rider, an older rider, someone getting back into horses after years away, or a rider who simply needs to regain their confidence, Mickey will take care of them. Mickey has miles and miles of real trail experience and has been ridden in several different states, covering everything from easy-going pleasure rides to steep hills, rocky ground, creeks, mud, logs, ditches, and rough country. He takes his time, watches where he puts his feet, and never gets in a hurry. Point him down the trail and enjoy the ride! He is just as dependable in the arena and makes an excellent horse for someone wanting to build their riding skills and confidence. Mickey isn’t the type that makes his rider nervous or constantly keeps them on their toes as he is quiet, forgiving, and willing, giving his rider the opportunity to relax and actually enjoy horseback riding. Mickey has been ridden around vehicles and traffic and handles it like the seasoned horse he is. In addition to being an outstanding riding horse, Mickey is broke to drive, making him an incredibly versatile gelding for the entire family. What really makes Mickey special isn’t just what he can do — it’s the confidence he gives the person holding the reins. Horses that are truly quiet, experienced, versatile, and safe enough for the whole family don’t come along every day. At 14.1 hands, Mickey is the perfect size — big enough to comfortably carry an adult but not so tall that kids or older riders feel intimidated climbing aboard. If your priority is finding a horse that is SAFE, SANE, EXPERIENCED, and DEPENDABLE, put Mickey at the top of your list.
