Misty

Misty is a 10 year old, 15 hand palomino gaited mare. Misty is as honest as the day is long on the trails. It’s where she truly shines! She will happily and confidently lead the group or ride in the middle or back. She also rides out alone. Misty crosses logs, creeks, mud, and ditches with ease. She is surefooted on rougher terrain and doesn’t get worried with muddy or slick trails. She keeps a very steady pace and is careful with her feet. Misty goes up the trails on a loose rein. She is not the type of horse that you have to ride every day. She can hang out in the pasture for extended periods of time and ride off like she never missed a day. She is traffic safe and has been in parades. Wildlife doesn’t bother her. Misty has been ridden in the arena some, but she does prefer to be on the trails. She stands very well for mounting either from the ground, mounting block, log, or whatever you might come across on the trail. She loads and travels well. She’s been on overnight camping trips and settles in well to new places whether in a stall or tied on the highline. She gets along well in a group in the pasture, and she has successfully raised foals previously. Misty has nice ground manners and is well suited for most riders.
