Mr. BoJangles… If you’re looking for a John mule the whole family can enjoy then meet Mr. Bojangles or “Jangles” as we call him! Jangles is a 12 year old John mule that stands 14.1hh and is bump and blemish free. If you need a trail boss 7 days week he’s your guy. Only ride on weekends when it’s sunny and 75°? He does just fine sitting and then being a weekend warrior too! Jangles is easy to live with and requires no special care/diet or maintenance. He is barefoot sound and happy! Jangles will live in a stall or turned out just as peacefully. He gets along with other mules and horses and has been around dogs, pigs, cows and goats. He will ride around the arena walk, trot and lope as well as takes correct leads and a jump. He is really soft in the mouth through his turns and will stop when you say whoa he will even collect into contact. He has been trail ridden up and down the east coast and through the steep valleys and rock formations of Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. This mule is a point and shoot trail boss, he will negotiate any terrain and go wherever you point. He is fine with water, logs, 2 ways traffic, passing hikers and bikers as well as any wildlife you’d expect to bump into out on the trail. I would easily let a kid trail ride all day long on him as he isn’t at all spooky or naughty and has no tricks up his sleeve. Jangles is one the most gentle trail mules we have ever had. I also love that he can lope circles in the arena while carrying a flag or drag a tarp, pull a sled or even take him coon hunting at night! He’s your one stop shop for “good mule” Jangles is easy to trail loads and stays tied on a single or cross tie, good for grooming and saddling and takes the bit nicely. He stands to be mounted from the ground or a mounting block. He sells sound with no previous medical history and no vices. All prospective buyers are welcome to have any type of pre purchase vet exam done at their expense.
