Oakley

“Oakley” – 11H, 5 year old red roan paint pony gelding. Oakley is one stout, strong, cool guy. He is as cute as a button, the kids all freak out in excitement when they see him, he is so cool looking. He is still young and will be in your family a long time. This pony has been through a couple of kiddos that outgrew him already, and if you are wanting one your kids can get hands on with, learn, make mistakes, and not get hurt – this pony is just the right size for every the smaller kids and he is stout made and big boned and correct enough for the kids that are a little older to still ride and have fun on. He is just the right size where the kiddos can learn to work one on the ground, catch, lead, tie, pick feet, groom… and even saddle and bridle all on their own. My daughter grabs Oakley, throws a halter on and swings up on this one bareback to ride around the place, every chance that she gets. He is a gorgeous pony, with a very unique color and loud but classy and very distinct markings on him. Oakley is good to catch, happy barn kept or turned out, and is good to catch, lead, saddle, and he hops right on the trailer. He stands like a statue anywhere you tie him. Oakley has been on lots of miles around the place and trail rides. He can even trot and lope along and keep up with bigger horses on a trail ride! He has been ridden all over around the house and the yard, and down the trail, and he has been to a few events and has done the lead-line and entry level playday classes where the kids are just learning the patterns. His previous family rode him western, but this guy would look adorable going english in the lead line or the little baby walk-trot dressage or hunter jumper classes for ponies! Just this past week, Oakley was trimmed by the farrier, his teeth were done by an equine dentist, he had his sheath cleaned, his ears treated for ticks, and he was also power packed wormed. He will arrive at his new home up-to-date and ready to go to work!
