Onyx

Onyx is a big, beautiful, jet black from head to toe gelding standing 16.1 hands tall. He is a 6 year old Draft Cross with all the shape and bone you could ask for. Onyx is a very laid back guy that is very non-reactive and chill about everything. He is trained to drive single and double and was used competitively in the double driving (with his full brother Hudson who sold on here a few weeks back). Onyx is as patient and kind as one comes and will stand quietly for everything on the ground and mounting and unmounting on a block. You can drop your reins anywhere and he will stand like a gentleman. Onyx is the ultimate trail riding or obstacle horse. He has virtually no spook and will cross anything. He has a slow jog that is lovely to sit and a large extended trot that can cover some ground. He has seen a days work on the ranch gathering cattle, gone down the highways, and has crossed water/logs/tarps/ditches/etc. We have ridden him both English and Western and started him over small cross rails. He has a very sweet demeanor and loves attention, grooming and going to do something. Easy keeper and gets along with everything. Hauls quietly, gentleman for the farrier and has impeccable manners. Onyx does not care if he is alone or in a group. I truly don’t have a bad thing to say about this big beautiful boy and think anyone who is around him will fall in love!
