Opal

Opal is the epitome of good old fashioned quarter horse. Strong build, sane mind and unconditionally SAFE. Stand a wide 14.3HH and the prime age of 12, they truly don’t come any better. Opal has carried young riders through tricky trails, taking care of them every step of the way. She travels through thin mountain trails easily, walks calmly in chaotic crowded streets, and stays quiet in every situation. Opal is as close to bombproof as I like to call one. Dogs, cows, deer, and other animals don’t phase her none. She has zero spook, zero buck, and is comfortable with any time off. She has done it all, carried flags, been used as a lesson horse, been in downtown parades, and attended trail competitions. Opal is the type of horse you can put anyone on and have all the confidence she will babysit her rider. She has a good handle on her and a huge stop, with the lightest cue. She lopes both ways effortlessly, soft neck rein and will collect at the poll. Opal doesn’t require shoes and has good solid feet, she will always stand for the farrier for a quick trim and is always kind and patient. She is the easiest horse to clip, tack up, or bathe because she always stands like a statue for you. Opal never gets in a hurry and will stand tied long hours, haul like a champ in any trailer, and can be stalled or pastured with other horses. Nothing bothers her and she is a saint of a horse.
