Pecos Bill

Meet “Pecos Bill”! This handsome gelding catches everyone’s eye with his stocky frame and striking color. Everyone growing up watching Gunsmoke and Bonanza knows the good guys ride buckskins, and here’s your chance to own one too! Not only is he flashy, but Pecos has great manners, and is as gentle and SAFE as they come. He is only 8 years old and stands 15 hands tall. He is so much fun to ride with his easy transitions, correct turnaround, and nice stop. He is one hand broke, picks up both leads, and is extremely smooth to ride anywhere; he even rides bridle-less! He has a friendly personality and is always easy to catch. This is the most laid-back horse I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning; he is the same horse every ride even with time off. He is happiest going slow but will do anything you ask of him with a willing attitude and confidence. While he’s mostly been a trail rider, we believe he would excel at any job someone chooses for him. He carries a flag, pulls a dummy or a float full of dogs, and even flies a kite! Nothing can rattle him! He is a true beginner’s horse but has been ridden by all levels of riders and everyone has enjoyed their rides on him. He picks up all four feet willingly, ground ties while grooming and saddling, hauls well, and enjoys being blanketed. He is a super easy keeper and gets along great with other horses, in a stall, or turned out, and is up to date on everything.
