Prince

This 6 year old Friesian Sport Horse gelding stands 16.1 hands tall with clean legs, nice conformation and not a single bump, blemish or scar on him. Prince has a beautiful long thick mane and tail and a kind eye with a sweet puppy dog personality to match. He is quiet to handle and respectful on the ground, in his stall and when turned out. Prince stands to be groomed and tacked up as well and being patient and quiet for the farrier and the vet and he loves a good bubble bath! Prince is easy to load and haul will back off the trailer and tie to it all day as well. Under saddle this gorgeous guy is so easy to ride, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many FSHs in the past but he is by far the most uncomplicated. Prince is soft in his face both laterally and in his poll, he gives you the same energy you ride him with if you want to slow jog around he will do that collected or trot on the buckle as well as move out into an extended trot in contact. Prince has really nice transitions and beautiful canter, he easily takes both leads and when you want to transition down you can simply change your seat or if you’d like to him to bury his butt into the ground to stop just say “whoa” and he will stop and back up on his own. Prince will leg yield, side pass, move hind quarters and rib cage both ways. He can be backed through a dog leg and trot leg yields from the quarter line. Prince could easily be a youth horse, adult novice or amateur type ride and I could easily see him falling nicely into a lesson program. Prince has been offsite to an outdoor obstacle park and did great being introduced to many new obstacles- ponds, bridges, cake boxes, teeter totter, moving bridge, tension bridge, cowboy curtain etc! Prince is a great trail horse too he will take the lead or follow behind and is very good with the other horses out on the trail no bite or kick. He negotiated through some off roading around downed trees with confidence and goes through water over logs and up and down steep grades. Prince is fine on the hard road even if traffic is passing by he stays calm and collected. Prince is also trained to drive and is easy to hitch and quiet with the cart, he’s been also driven on the road and traffic safe in the harness as well. I’ve hauled Prince out to local cow sorting where we pushed cows in and out of corrals so the competitors had fresh cows every time and he was great with the cows and seemed to really enjoy the job.
