O Romeo, Romeo! Here is a 4-year-old draft cross gelding, standing at an impressive 16.3 hands tall. This horse has unlimited potential and is ready to find his forever person. He is a Friesian/ spotted draft cross. This stunning gelding is indeed the whole package from head to toe! Romeo has excellent conformation, clean legs, big bones, and nice big hooves. He has a clean PPE and is ready for his next adventure in life. Romeo is a delight to work on and be around. He stands quietly for the vet and farrier and does not require stocks. He will stand patiently tied while you brush and saddle him up. Romeo loads easily and rides calmly in the trailer; he unloads quietly and is ready to work. He is easy to bathe and pamper and is content in a stall or turned out to pasture. Under saddle, Romeo is a very uncomplicated ride. He is soft laterally, has an excellent “whoa,” moves off your leg nicely, and has a nice back, side passes, and spins. Kids, teens, and adults have ridden him, and they all enjoy him; he can take a joke and will try anything you ask! He recently went to Equifest, where a youth rode him in an opening ceremony carrying a flag. We have been riding him both English and Western and have found he is versatile and happy in both disciplines. He is quiet and confident on the trail and will go anywhere you point him. He easily navigates rough terrain up and down grades, through water, over downed trees, and trailblazing through the woods. He has been exposed to cows, dogs, goats and sheep. He recently went on a week-long trail-riding camping trip to Kansas and loved it. Romeo will trot poles and take a jump with ease. Don’t feel like riding? Then take him for a drive! Romeo hooks quietly and drives off calmly. I believe this gelding would make an excellent mount for anyone looking for a quiet and simple horse to take from the arena to out on the trail and even into the show pen; his willing mind and calm demeanor make him a super adaptable and easy horse to get along with no matter the level of rider/handler.
