Scuba Steve is one of the nicest crossbred geldings I have ever had the pleasure of owning and training. Scuba is a 3 year old draft cross standing 16.1 and weighing 1500 pounds. If there every was a horse to be on the cover of a magazine this is him. He has the sweetest disposition, personality, conformation and wow his looks and color are remarkable! Everyone that comes to our ranch has to ride scuba steve. He is safe for any level rider. Our daughter is 2 years old and she rides him by herself. Scuba Steve stand to be mounted and dismounted in the arena and on the trail. Did I’m mention he lays down to mount and dismount? This is very helpful for elderly people or people who have knee issues or hip issues. Scuba Steve will walk on a loose rein, trot like a dressage horse and canter like a quarter horse. He is very smooth is all of his gates. He cantors collective circles and always catches his correct lead. He has a very nice stop and backs up with ease. Scuba Steve is super safe on the trails, he is very sure footed and watches his step with care. He crosses creeks, logs, large boulders, rivers, mud puddles etc. he stands to be bathed, clipped, saddled, bridled, and is a farriers best friend. We have done everything you can possibly do on a horse with scuba steve, we have doctored cattle, sorted cattle, ponied colts, cracking whips, you can shoot and caliber gun off of him and he does not move a muscle. He has been used to carry the American flag for the grand entry for rodeos. He has been announced off of during rodeos by a 60 year old gentleman. He isn’t afraid of anything bulls charging him, deer jumping out, turkeys flying up. Nothing phases his. Scuba Steve is a true once in a life time gelding. You can leave him sit and feed him the best hay and grain you can find he will tack up and walk off level headed with no fuss. We urge anyone to come ride him and to see all of his tricks.
