“Semler” is a sweet boy, with a kind eye and loads of personality. He is registered with the APHA, he stands 15.2H, and he is in the prime of his life at only 7 years old. This guy’s name…is absolutely bang-on, and it certainly came from his stellar, eager, relaxed, and very friendly disposition that was exceptional and obvious, even as a baby colt when he was named. He is absolutely just one of those “born-broke”, naturally confident, relaxed, no trouble, and from the very start horses. He has been so consistent, solid and easy, everyone who rides him enjoys him and compliments how simple, chill and easy to get along with he is. Semler has an exceptional handle on him and is pleasant, great minded, always willing and easy to be around. He walks, trots, and nicely lopes collected circles. Semler has a lot of woah and go! He’s got a big stop on him and a nice turn around. All at the same time, this guy is as chill as they get. Point him anywhere and he goes there, he is curious, loves new places, and loves a challenge. Semler has walked the streets of Fort Worth and loved it. Nothing phases him. Semler is the same horse every-time you pull him out of the pasture. He is honest and broke as they get. He could make the perfect weekend pleasure riding horse, or this horse is the perfect prospect to go make a nice rope horse, local gymkhana/playday mount, sorter/penner, or local entry level 4H or ranch show horse. Has all the buttons and foundation to make it extremely easy. Semler stands for the farrier, baths, comes up to you out in the pasture, is easy to load, haul, saddle, and bridle, he gets along with anyone turned out, and loves being in the barn too. Semler started his career as a ranch horse, then was used on a high-end resort style dude ranch and was purchased by one of the guests at the ranch. Semler moved to the city, and was a great city trail mount and confidence builder for his new owner, who was an amateur weekend-warrior and also a first-time horse owner. His new owner later had an abrupt job change that required a quick international move and we got access to purchase Semler through the owner’s trainer, one of our dear neighbors who passed away last year. We sold Semler to another new horse family, and their kids have spent the past year getting their basic miles on Semler, and are now ready to upgrade to specialized seasoned show horses. Semler is looking for his next job! Semler is up to date on all cares, has been seen by the chiro, teeth done by our equine dentist, he was shod just this week, and he was just power packed wormed.
