“Spankie” is an 11yr old, 14.3hh, AQHA registered gelding. He is by is by the late, great Cats Quixote Jack (LTE $276,695/PE over $1.1 million) out of NCHA money earner and producer MH Its Just My Boon. This gelding is the kindest soul with the a background that gives him the capabilities everyone can enjoy. After getting his start in the cutting pen, Spankie went on to be used as a turn back horse and for ranch work. This gelding is the most fun to sort on but will also hold a rope tight if something needs doctoring. He has been owned by his breeder his whole life until we got him, and he truly is a horse you’d be happy to own for a lifetime. Spankie has an light handle and works well off of your legs. He’ll collect up and ride like a fancy show horse or ride on a loose rein. From a freshly groomed arena to a rain soaked pasture, he rides the same. This gelding would fit someone needing their next well-bred using horse or someone that just wants a horse to walk down the trail on a loose rein. From boggy tanks to waspy cattle to beach balls and flags, not much phases this one. On the ground, you won’t find a sweeter horse to be around. Spankie is the epitome of “in your pocket”. He’ll follow you around like a dog but is respectful if you’d rather him not be in your bubble. Spankie stands for grooming, bathing, saddling, and lowers his head for bridling and unbridling.
