Speaks Driftin Pete is a 16hh, coming 6 year old who is always a true gentleman in every way and all situations. His striking, bold appearance gets him attention everywhere he goes! He’s the one you will want to catch and go have some fun on everyday. You can’t help but to smile in his presence with his sweet, loving disposition. He is seasoned in all aspects of ranch work! He has been used in a feed yard setting, pasture roped, doctored cattle, ponied colts and drug hedge posts. He has been trail rode extensively by different levels of riders in numerous settings. He will go right where you point him without hesitation. He is brave by himself or will gladly follow a group out on the trails. He has seen lots of wildlife, is good with crazy dogs, obnoxious mini horses, blowing tarps, wild cattle and loud gunfire. He navigates through all types of terrain with a calm, careful, sure footed approach that always makes his rider feel secure and confident. Pete has been on several overnight camping trips he is comfortable at home or on the road and always settles in well. Pete is kind, gentle, quiet and easy to handle. He has a solid consistent handle and will do anything you ask. He picks up his leads, side passes and has great neck rein, yields to leg pressure and has lots of body control. Pete is a gelding that I have known his entire life and that I know this horse inside and out. He’s an uncomplicated gelding to own and will allow you to turn him out for long periods of time and saddle him right back up gentle, quiet and safe, just the way you left him. Pete is a solid and sturdy mount for a timid rider or one lacking confidence. He’s very receptive and always wants to please. Pete can be shoed or go barefoot he very good footed and boned.
