We are proud to offer “Squid!” A versatile, honest, and exceptionally trained 5 year old, 15.2h, super stout built, gelding! He is a truly incredible horse who combines heart, athleticism, and a quiet, willing disposition. Under saddle, he rides with a smooth, balanced gait and is equally at home in the arena or out on the trail. Squid is also a proven driving horse, working confidently both single and double, and is safe for inexperienced drivers. He is strong, solid, and comfortable to take out for a Sunday drive with the family. Traffic never phases him. Outdoors, Squid is fearless and reliable, moving through challenging terrain with the steadiness of an army tank. He handles cattle, creeks, ditches, downed logs, tall grass, wildlife and snowdrifts with confidence and composure. Indoors, he is a quiet, respectful gentleman who always aims to please. He has been ridden by lesson students of all ages and matches their ability level immediately. He is also a fantastic jumper, showing incredible potential for a future in eventing, hunter/jumpers, or fox-hunting. His athleticism is deceiving, as he can clear the jumps with ease, yet maintain a relaxed and fluid pace. He will build confidence in timid riders and make it fun for experienced ones. On the ground, Squid is easy to handle with polite manners. He is excellent to shoe, deworm, vaccinate, and is up to date on all care.
