Stetson is a 4 year old paint gelding. He stands at 14.3 hands now, but should mature to about 15-15.1 hands when he’s done growing. He has an amazing disposition, and confirmation! We have enjoyed every day of owning him, and hope to see someone else love him as much as we have. Stetson is a natural gentleman, and is as chill as a horse can get- as you’ll see in the video. This horse has seen a lot for just being four years old. He has been packed on and rode in the Colorado mountains, many overnight camping trips, trail rides, and cattle sorts, and has even been shown the barrel pattern. There is nothing that we have pointed him to that he won’t cross with ease; Any kind of water such as rivers, fast creeks, ponds, steep ditches, trail courses, highways, stumps and logs, and bridges to say the least. This horse has been so very gentle and a COMPLETE natural from the beginning. Although Stetson is not registered, you can see how there is no way he is not bred to be athletic! Don’t let his calm nature fool you; He will get up and lope off confidently at whatever speed you please from just the squeeze of your heels or click of your tongue. He takes the correct leads, one hand neck reins, backs, side passes, spins, and will ride bridleless. He is 100% sound, has great hooves and does not require shoes. Loads and backs out of the trailer, stands to be bathed, stands to be mounted/unmounted, stands for the farrier, and to be groomed, saddled, and bridled- all with ease. There really are no bad things to say about him! There is no spook, buck, kick, bite, or funny business at all. He is as good of a keeper as you can get: Eats well, is happy in a stall or pasture, easy to catch, and gets along with any and all horses, mules, donkeys, and dogs. This is all there is to say: There is no doubt that this horse is going to EXCEL in any category you decide to pursue him in, whether it be roping, barrel racing, gaming, ranch work, pleasure classes, english riding, a step up horse for the kids, or even just a good ole trail/family horse. He is a very GENTLE, naturally calm, forgiving, and willing gelding that is ready to start any job of your choosing. Please contact Amos Yoder 641-640-0795 with any questions. Located in Zearing, IA.
